The Arts Foundation Of Olde Towne (AFOOT) has built a new web site thanks to the hard work and talents of Web Master Russell Satori, explore and enjoy! AFOOT continues to collect and archive the rich Jazz History of the City of Columbus & State Of Ohio - check out the Columbus Archives on this page and watch for postings from the Ohio Archive soon.The new book Ohio Jazz: A History Of Jazz In The Buckeye State, authored by Arnett Howard, Dave Meyers, Jim Loeffler and AFOOT Organizational Director Candice Watkins, came out in the Spring of 2012 and has been met with great success. Find the books in bookstores, on Amazon or come to the first Sunday of the Month Jam Sessions at Hunan Gourmet 5125 E. Main Street in Columbus, Ohio,(3 to 7PM). Hosted by Grammy nominated saxophone artist Gene Walker, this jam is a continuation of the legendary "Jazz & Eggs Jams" and features your favorite local artists. Additionally, in 2013 the Organization will produce the 38th Annual Hot Times Community Arts & Music Festival and partner with Central Community House to present The Columbus Children's Parade. The Festival has already begun planning for it's 40th anniversary in 2014 - big ideas are brewing. Check out this site for more news!
